After a decisive call with a board member, Scott found his wife sitting on the porch. “We have to close the business,” he told her. They sat together in quiet disbelief, grappling with the reality that their years of investment and passion weren’t enough to save the company. It was a painful moment, marking both an end and a new beginning.
The morning after closing the business, he woke up at age 50 with no career and a six-month ordeal of Chapter 7 bankruptcy looming. Emotionally drained, he spent the next four years grappling with self-doubt, depression, and a crisis of identity.
But in 2020, amid the pandemic, something clicked. He realized that his business journey, his hardships, and his coaching skills could all be combined for a greater purpose. That epiphany turned out to be his calling.
“It’s a beginning.”
Scott’s entire life has culminated to the point where you find him today. He has made a commitment to be the guide he wishes he’d had when he faced the most life-defining decisions he ever had to face.
