Ryan Gardner

Ryan Gardner is a tax, mergers and acquisition attorney with approximately nine years (April 2001 to April 2010) of experience working for international law firms in Houston, Texas, and Columbia, South Carolina.  His experience in the international law firms includes working at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP; Haynes and Boone, LLP; Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP; and Fulbright & Jaworski LLP. During those approximately nine years, he worked on tax matters relating to mergers and acquisitions, private equity offerings, public offerings, and private equity funds, to name a few. For approximately one and one-half years (May 2010 to January 2012), Ryan worked at a small local law firm learning that he could develop his own book of business.  For the last twelve plus years (February 2012 through today), Ryan has been running his own law firm, primarily involved in mergers and acquisitions, private equity offerings, structuring and restructuring business organizations, as well as tax planning primarily in individual tax, partnership tax and corporate tax.

In addition to being a tax, mergers and acquisition attorney, Ryan has been a certified public accountant since 1992 and practiced in public accounting for over four years (1991 to 1995). He left public accounting and worked as a loan officer for approximately three years (1995 to 1998) before starting law school in May 1998. 

Ryan’s formal education started at the University of Texas with a degree in accounting in December 1990. He received his Master of Taxation and Juris Doctorate from Baylor University in February 2001. By attending night school, Ryan obtained a Masters in Law – Tax Concentration (LL.M.) from the University of Houston in December 2004.  In 2021, Ryan obtained his certification as a certified exit planning advisor. In 2022, Ryan obtained his certification as a certified value growth advisor.

In addition to practicing law, Ryan spends time with his wife and their two sons. His second business is 24 Outfitters LLC, were he manages a farm, run a rifle and pistol range, and operate a fishing and hunting operation (i.e., spring turkey, dove, duck, and sandhill crane). Ryan is involved with his church and tries to keep his eyes on Him and His plan for him, his family, and the businesses.
